Extra ferries have been added to the schedule this week to help service thousands of cruise ship visitors. This week, the service has announced that it will run a ferry to and from St George’s on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, departing Dockyard at 10.30am and leaving St George’s at 2.45pm.On Wednesday, ferries will also be added to help support Harbour Nights in Hamilton, with an additional ferry departing Dockyard for Hamilton at 6.15pm, and two ferries travelling from Hamilton to Dockyard at 9.30pm and 10pm.However, the Harbour Night ferries will not go ahead if the popular Wednesday night event is cancelled.Over the weekend, the ferry service doubled it’s usual service between Dockyard and Hamilton to account for the arrival of the Explorer of the Seas and the Caribbean Princess, adding seven extra trips on Saturday and Sunday. This coming weekend, a 350 passenger ferry is scheduled to operate the regular route between Dockyard and Hamilton while the Carnival Fantasy is in port.
