Just who works at Civil Service?
January 10, 2013
Dear Sir,
How many people are employed in the Bermuda Department of Tourism? Are we to understand that Shawn Crockwell was unable to find anyone already employed in the department to provide him with special professional support? If this is the case, then regardless of their pre-election promises, this new Government needs to take a serious look at who we are employing and what they are actually doing. The role of a fully staffed civil service is to provide professional support to Ministers. If they are not doing that, they should not be on the payroll.
We have high expectations of this new Government; lets hold them to account — now, not when the slippery slope is steeper.
