Letter was offensive
February 14, 2013
Dear Sir,
I felt compelled to respond to a letter that was published in todays paper (Wednesday February 13), written by being gay is an abomination. I found this letter to be highly offensive and was shocking to read. I am a straight, married female and a supporter of the LBGT community. I firmly believe that all people should have the right to marry the person that they love. My husband and I are a mixed race couple and have experienced some prejudice but never to the level of this letter. There was a time when it would have been illegal for my husband and I to marry and I can only hope that one day all individuals are able to enjoy the same marital rights that we have.
