Bermuda women thrashed by Jamaica

Jamaica under-20s 7 Bermuda under-20s 0Bermuda under-20 women’s national team lost to Jamaica in their opening game of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) qualifying tournament in Kingston on Tuesday.The hosts opened up a six goal lead before half-time with Bermuda’s Precious Cooper being shown the red card after 13 minutes.Bermuda must defeat Cuba, who beat Curacao 5-0 in their opening match, on Thursday to stand any chance of advancing from the group.Two teams will advance from the group to compete in the finals which look set to be held Puerto Rico in October.Bermuda’s squad include seven members from the gold medal winning NatWest Island Games team.Bermuda Under-20s: Sarai Paul (captain), Chelsea Harvey, Keunna Dill, Khyla Brangman, Akeyla Furbert, Tiara Smith, Teara Thomas, Tia Sampson, Jasmine Simmons, Precious Cooper, Jaylen Bean, Rayni Maybury, Aaliyah Nolan, Sideya Dill, Kali Lespere, Micah Pond, Raven Pitcher, K'sheala Burch-Waldron, Zahra Gibbons, Eva Frazzoni.
