Dudley Eve champions Somerset Trojans have lost eight players in the first release transfer period, while North Village have picked up 17 players for the new season.The transfer list, released today by the Bermuda Football Association, sees 83 players obtaining releases, including 34 in the Premier Division and 49 in the First Division where 16 players are leaving BAA.However, the most interesting moves involve the Premier Division clubs where the Trojans, who recently advertised their coaching position, have lost eight members of their squad, with Jensen Rogers and Malachi Jones heading to PHC, Tyrell Burgess returning to North Village after one season and Tahj Wade, Henry Santucci and Jonathan Bean moving to Ireland Rangers. Defender Ijahmon Mallory is seeking a fresh start at newly promoted Hamilton Parish.North Village have some new signings to freshen up their squad, with forward Jahron Dickinson and defender Mishael Paynter leaving relegated St George’s to join the Rams who have also picked up three players from the other relegated team, Robin Hood. Quadir Maynard, Takeyhi Walker and Mikre Pace are all moving to Bernard Park as Hood lose nine players in total, including Dominique Williams to Dandy Town and Dunte Albuoy to newly promoted St David’s who have picked up Allan Douglas from St George’s.Zane Hendrickson of St George’s has returned to North Village who have picked up another goalkeeper, Troy Hall Jr from PHC.Also picking up another goalkeeper are Triple Crown champions Devonshire Cougars who have signed Daniel Johnson from Dandy Town, one of six players to leave the Hornets. Deaz Chambers goes to the Rams, Kamen Tucker to Southampton Rangers, Lorenzo Simmons to Hamilton Parish and Heys Wolfe to Somerset Eagles.Southampton Rangers lose four players, including Dennis Russell back to PHC and Sean Perinchief and Kyle Jones to Devonshire Colts. St David’s lose four players, with three of them, Tre Govia, Anthony Burchall and Milton Jones Jr, going to neighbours St George’s and Mikkail Crockwell to Dandy Town.A host of players have departed First Division side BAA following the switch by coach Maurice Lowe to Southampton Rangers where he will be technical director.Jahkai Dyer, Makario Burch and Willie Clemons will join him at Rangers. Shaki Swan and Diego McCallan are joining promoted St David’s while three others have moved on to Dandy Town and two to North Village.Five of the six players who obtained releases from First Division side X’Roads Warriors are moving to Paget.
