Pure magic at Raleigh Outdoor Adventure Residential camp

This past weekend saw ten young Bermudians challenge themselves and take the first step in embarking on their life-changing Raleigh Bermuda experience on beautiful Darrell’s Island.

Whether it was participating in guided/supported activities, learning how to build and sleep in a bivouac, building an open fire and cooking a meal over it, understanding the UN Millennium Development Goals or learning the intricate rules of Mafia and Ninja, our Participants spent the weekend learning more about themselves, each other and their world in an entirely new way.

The Raleigh 2014 participants are: Chloé Baron, Yin’Nikkei Bartley, Raekwon Hare, ZaKiya Lightbourne, Juanée Scott, Kyle Smith-Burgess, Jumoke Stovell, Kalaeb Tannock, Neville Vanderpool & Kinye Watson. Ms. Nash A huge thanks to our Raleigh Bermuda Alumni who volunteered at the camp: Justin Cann, Che Durham, Cole Durham, Jason Rhind & Jawonday Smith.

Executive Director: Ms. Nash told us: “what happens when you mix ten amazing young people, five enthusiastic Raleigh Alumni, two super-excited Leaders, one beautiful island & Raleigh Bermuda? Pure magic!”

If you would like to learn more about Raleigh Bermuda’s programme, please contact Tina Nash, Executive Director at 333.5678 or info@raleigh.bm.

Raleigh’s vision is of a Bermuda where Young People work together, regardless of social background and culture — challenged to raise their aspirations, supported to believe in themselves and inspired to be part of a global community active in making their world a better place.
