Architect branches out with her own practice

Charlita Saltus

Following the winding up of Conyers & Associates, architect Charlita Saltus has opened up her own practice Saltus Associates.

Ms Saltus, who was a co-owner for Conyers & Associates, said: “I’m looking forward to a fresh start and being sole owner which is a dream come true for me.”

She is a registered architect and holds AIA, NCARB & MIBA designations. She was one of the first fully qualified female Bermudian architects and has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture.

“Saltus Associates will provide a full range of architectural services from building surveying, site analysis, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration services through to project completion and close-out,” she said.

Ms Saltus has been featured in The Bermudian, Emedia and RG Magazines for both residential and commercial designs and has also won a Bermuda National Trust Award.

Her experience includes single family homes, big and small, apartment house and condominium developments, commercial projects, new build and renovation work.

She said: “Anyone who has worked with me before knows that I am fully committed to providing quality service and good value to my clients. My design approach is client inclusive and is in direct response to project specific factors such as the site, building type, owner’s budget and most importantly, the client’s goal and vision. No matter how big or small the project, I will work hard to not just meet, but exceed my clients’ expectations.”
