Wells claims award

Top player: striker Wells

Nahki Wells has been voted Player of the Month for March by Huddersfield Town’s Blue and White Foundation members.

The 23-year-old played in all of Huddersfield’s seven games last month, scoring three goals and managing four assists in the Sky Bet Championship side’s 5-0 demolition of Barnsley.

Wells, who joined Huddersfield from League One Bradford City for a record fee during the January transfer window, has netted five goals in 15 appearances for his new club, including three in his last four appearances.

The former Dandy Town striker will be presented with a bottle of champagne before Huddersfield’s home match with Bolton Wanderers at John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

Wells struck his fifth goal for Huddersfield in a 1-1 draw at Reading last weekend.
