Palm Sunday Walk will stray from the beaten track

It will be a journey off the beaten track for participants in this Sunday’s Bermuda National Trust Palm Sunday Walk offered by the will take participants as they explore a different side of Somerset Island, starting around 2pm.

Walkers will set out from the Warren Simmons Community Field, between Somerset Road and School Lane, no later than 3pm.

The five-mile walk, expected to take about two hours to cover, will range from the gardens of heritage homes, to nature reserves, beaches and the vista of the fort on Scaur Hill. The route is not suitable for prams or for dogs — and walkers are advised to bring a container for cold drinks provided, as well as to wear sensible shoes.

There is no charge, but donations to the Trust are appreciated. The event is sponsored in part by The Argus Group, with drinks donated by John Barritt and Son Ltd.
