Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd announced the resignation of John Collins from its board of directors yesterday, according to a Bermuda Stock Exchange press release.

Mr Collins was an independent director of the reinsurer, as well as an independent director at Suburban Propane Partners LP.

He is on the board of directors at Mrs Fields Famous Brands LLC, Alma Mater, Inc, Project Concern International, and Le Moyne College.

Mr Collins, who is 75, was previously employed as senior audit partner by KPMG LLP, and he also served on the board at CCC Information Services Group, Inc, Columbia Atlantic Funds, and Mrs Fields’ Original Cookies, Inc.
