Butterfield Bank shares rose by a cent in thin trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange today.

The bank climbed 0.5 percent to close on $2, as 130 shares changed hands.

KeyTech Ltd was the only other issuer to trade, remaining unchanged on $4.75, as 500 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 4.72 points, or 0.34 percent, to close on 1,396.63. Volume was 630 shares and turnover totalled $2,636.50.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 3.49 points, or 0.24 percent to 1,461.97.
