Reports ordered after man threatened Police officers

A man from Hamilton Parish has been remanded into custody after being charged with threatening Police officers.

Jalal Rochester, 40 pleaded not guilty to saying threatening words to two police officers when he appeared in Magistrates’?Court last week

According to prosecutors, the incident occurred on July 10 after Mr Rochester allegedly broke into a Southampton home.

The resident called the police, telling them that Mr Rochester was a drug dealer and dangerous. When the officers arrived they arrested him on suspicion of tresspassing. He responded by saying: “F*** you, c***s. You guys are d***heads! What are you looking at f*****s? I am going to poke you’re eyes out. You think you’re bad. I have been smoking a lot of crack and lost 40 pounds in three weeks — wait till I get bigger.”

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered a social inquiry report, a psychological report and a BARC report for the defendant.

Mr Rochester was remanded into custody and will go on trial in drug treatment court on July 16.
