Huddersfield claim three points

Huddersfield Town striker Wells

Huddersfield Town secured their first three points in the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-1 victory away to Reading yesterday.

Nahki Wells, the Bermuda striker, created the opening goal for Jacob Butterfield in the tenth minute before Harry Bunn extended their lead in the 38th minute with a low shot into the bottom corner.

Reading, who were unbeaten after their first two games of the season, pulled a goal back in the 79th minute through Simon Cox.

Wells was replaced by Jonathan Stead in the 83rd minute.

The win lifted Huddersfield, who parted with manager Mark Robins after an opening 4-0 loss at home to Bournemouth, four places from bottom of the Championship to 20th.
