Governor George Fergusson this morning issued a statement of condolence on the sudden death of Rochelle Bascome, the wife of St George’s North MP Kenneth Bascome.

“I was deeply shocked to hear of Mrs Bascombe’s death,” Mr Fergusson said.

“Margaret and I have got to know Mr Kenny Bascombe and our hearts go out to him at this awful time. We are sure that his wider family, friends and people of his beloved St George’s will give great support.”

Mrs Bascome, who would have turned 54 next week, died after a fall at the couple’s Ferry Road, St George’s residence on Tuesday evening.
