Mayho prevails

Strong showing: Mayho

Dominique Mayho, the Island’s top cyclist, claimed victory in the Bermuda Bicycle Association’s road race hosted by the Social Cycles team in Dockyard yesterday.

Mayho won the A category in the 80-kilometre race in 2hr 6min 54.532sec, finishing ahead of Shannon Lawrence in second and third-placed Darren Glasford.

Tyler Smith beat the rest of the B category with a well-planned solo attack heading into the final lap of the 60km race.

Chris Eaton came second and Dennis Joell to round out the podium.

In the Women’s A category, Karen Bordage triumphed, Sean Dickinson won the Men’s C category and Kaden Hopkins was the top finisher in the Junior A division.

Ben Edwards and Malik Joell continued their head-to-head battle in the Junior B, with Joell taking the honours and Alexander Miller coming third.

In the Junior C division, Enshe-Nico Davis achieved his first victory ahead of Nick Narraway and Megan Hands.

The next criterium will be held in Hamilton on October 5, hosted by the Madison Digicel team.
