Crystal Ball matches season’s fastest time

GV Crystal Ball, with female driver Andrea Westerfield in the bike, equalled the season’s fastest time during the Bermuda CableVision Friday Night Series at Bermuda Equestrian Centre last weekend.

Eddie Roque’s stallion ran 1:04 flat in heat 24 to grab a share of the season’s fastest time achieved by Brona’s Mike with driver Cameron Harris the previous weekend.

Westerfield was among several multiple heat winners, including Kirista Rabain, Kiwon Waldron, Maurice Raynor, Tyler Lopes, John Flood and Lucas Bridges.

Rabain and Waldron managed four wins apiece, the most on the day.

Moving out of the 1:10/4—1:12/4 time bar was Shady’s Liberty after returning a 1:09/3 in the second heat with driver Christian Truran.

Also on the move was IC’s Overextended who climbed out of the 1:13 and slower time bar after running a 1:12/1 in heat seven with driver Thomas Whited.

Simsfield’s Hard Times got a leg out of the 1:13 and slower time bar in heat seven with driver Rabain.

Leo Simmons’s colt Tee Time and Aaron Sims’ gelding Mr Indiana also moved out of the 1:13 and slower and 1:07/2- 1:08/2 time bars with Rabain at the helm.

Colonel’s Maestro with Lucas Bridges in the sulky and Approved Credit with Waldron at the helm both got a leg out of the 1:07/2 -1:08/2 time bar.

Custard The Dragon with Andy Stoneham at the helm and Stay Tuned with driver Nuno Mota both ran a 1:08/1 in heat four to get a leg out of the 1:08/3 — 1:10/3 time bar.

Warwick Academy student Ryan Manders, 11, the youngest driver at the track, also moved out the 1:08/3-1:10/3 time bar in heat ten with gelding, A Touch of Red.
