Consulting firm offers sessions for business on social media use

Businesses will be able to learn more about how to use social media to promote themselves at a series of seminars and workshops.

Starting from next month, SociaLEE Consulting plans to host its first “lunch and learn” session on the subject next Tuesday, October 7.

The event will take place at the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce from 12.15pm to 1.30pm, with $30 registration fee for the session and lunch.

“As technology changes, so does the realm of marketing” states Stephanie Lee, of SociaLEE Consulting. “When the printing press was invented, handbills became easier to produce and more prevalent; when radio came, so did jingles, with television, the jingles added moving pictures along with them.

“With the progression of the internet, and thus social media, businesses have a new platform to use to reach their customer. The fundamental difference is the very nature of social media itself which has changed how people communicate and consume information.”

“I have planned a series of workshops and seminars ranging in topics, length and audience that will help businesses, owners and those responsible for marketing how to use these tools.”

The sessions comprise ‘lunch and learns’, full-day workshops, and corporate/half-day training sessions. They will cover topics from the basics of social media marketing to convincing your boss in a larger organisation to use it.
