PHC receive $10,000 grant

David Lang, of the Bank of Bermuda Foundation

The Bank of Bermuda Foundation has joined forces with Pembroke Hamilton Club to assist in the Warwick club’s football, cricket, netball and softball programmes.

The $10,000 grant will also help to fund the club’s majorettes and “Going Home” project that was launched in August 2013.

The objective of “Going Home” is to bring all of the club’s activities back to their Stadium Lane, Warwick ground.

Commenting on the new partnership, David Lang, the Bank of Bermuda Foundation managing director, said: “We are pleased to partner with one of Bermuda’s most respected sports and community clubs, which has worked hard in recent years to develop internal good governance practices with considerable success.”

Speaking on behalf of PHC, Milique Fubler, the acting vice-president, added: “Bank of Bermuda Foundation is a welcome addition to the PHC team.

“The contribution will assist us in achieving the goal of playing Premier Division football at PHC and allow us to enhance our youth development programmes with the purchase of much needed equipment.”
