Douglas fires four

On fire: St David's Douglas

Allan Douglas scored four goals in St David’s 5-2 win over Ireland Island Rangers at Malabar Field in a clash between the bottom teams in the First Division yesterday.

Douglas scored in the ninth, 40th, 57th and 67th minutes to lead St David’s to their first win of the season, while Jamal Woodley scored the other goal for the visiting side in the 66th minute to move out of last place.

Henry Santucci netted both Rangers’ goals in the 68th and 89th minutes.

Tiae-Vince Douglas took his tally for the season to five goals when he netted all three goals in Boulevard’s 3-0 win over Paget at Southampton Oval yesterday.

The win gives Boulevard a maximum nine points from three matches as the division leaders send out an early warning of their promotion intentions. Douglas opened his account in the thirteenth minute before adding another goal in the 34th minute.

He completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute and then went off injured late in the match.

X-Roads also won 5-2, against Somerset Eagles, as Tristan Daniels netted twice for the east enders. Tymon Daniels, Jamin Furbert and Khyon Smith the others after X-Roads scored four goals in the second half after leading 1-0 at the interval. Kanhai Fray and Darin Dowling scored for Eagles.

The match between second place Devonshire Colts and BAA Wanderers also produced lots of goals with Colts coming out 4-2 winners at Police Field. Kyle Jones netted twice for Colts while Lozendro Symonds and Vernell Lambe scored the others for Colts, who remain two points behind Boulevard. Colts led 2-1 at the interval. Dante Leverock and Josh Hardtman replied for BAA.

Wolves defeated Young Men’s Social Club at Bernard Park yesterday.

All three of Wolves’ goals came in the second half.

Daz Simons gave Wolves the lead in the 65th minute, Lamelle Paynter doubled their advantage in the 86th minute and then Steven Bremar made it 3-0 in the 88th.
