The Bermuda Brazilian Football School and The Bermuda High School for Girls Football Club has collaborated together to hold a skills camp this month.

The All Girls Football Camp, which will run from October 27 to 31, is for youngsters aged between 8 and 14.

It will be held at the BHS Field and gymnasium from 8.30am to 3.30pm, costing $165 per child with an additional $25 for after-camp care.

“We’re excited to bring this camp to the girls of Bermuda,” Cal Blankendal, the CEO of BBFS, said.

“Girls football is the fastest growing form of the game and our camp is going to be fun and action-packed.

“In previous camps we’ve had a yoga presentation and jewellery making, so we try and keep it interesting.”

BHS FC started more than ten years and each year attracts over 100 players that participate in the inter-school competitions, the Bermuda Football Association league and the Kappa Classic.

Debby Backeberg, of the BHS FC, said: “BBFS has been a great support to our volunteer coaches over the last couple of seasons and we’re thrilled to work with them to build up girls football.”
