Lawyer Georgia Marshall is tipped to run for the One Bermuda Alliance in the upcoming by-election in Sandys South. An OBA source said last night that she would be announced soon as the party’s candidate for the seat, vacated by Independent MP Terry Lister last month.

Ms Marshall is a leading specialist in matrimonial and family law and a director at law firm Marshall Diel & Myers.

“She was the obvious choice,” the source said. “It’s a tough challenge but she is a fighter.”

The by-election will be held on November 18. Former premier Paula Cox is believed to be one of about 10 Progressive Labour Party members to have expressed interest in running for the seat.
