Firefighters are continuing to assist residents who have suffered damage during Hurricane Gonzalo, many of whom have asked for help.

As of 3.00pm this afternoon, the 911 Emergency Dispatch Centre had received a total of 123 calls.

“This included a variety of hurricane related incidents, such as fire, roof and structural damage, a variety of medical calls and minor incidents,” said a spokeperson.

“We advise residents to please be patient as we make every effort to resolve all of the issues as it relates to storm damage.”
