Police call for owners to collect vehicles

Police

Cars, bikes and even a kayak being held at the Police Headquarters in Prospect need to be collected within three weeks before they are disposed of, police warned today.

The various vehicles are on impound, and their details will be advertised from today, as well as given online, so that their rightful owners can collect them.

Proprietors will need to bring proof of ownership. To arrange a viewing, the public should contact impound officer Lee-Roma Swan at 247-1454, or e-mail lswan@bps.bm.

Currently on hold are: six cars, a golf cart, 169 motorcycles, seven Motocross cycles, 39 auxiliary cycles, seven pedal cycles — and one kayak.

Vehicles left unclaimed after 21 days will be scrapped in accordance with the Police Property Act, 1921.
