Island Basketball League and CellOne have announced their partnership to bring Bermuda the best local basketball has to offer.

Both the men and women players of the CellOne Island Basketball League are revved up and ready to hit the courts with athleticism and entertainment for fans of all ages.

“It is a great honour to be working with CellOne for the launch of Bermuda’s newest basketball league” Kenny Simmons, CIBL commissioner, said.

“We’re all about bringing together the excitement of team sport and the quality time many families on the Island are looking for.

“As Commissioner of the CIBL, my committee and I will do our best along with CellOne to take the sport of basketball to new heights here on the Island.”

Sanctioned by the Bermuda Basketball Federation, the CIBL consists of eight men’s teams and four women’s teams.

“All of us at CellOne are excited to be teaming up with the IBL” Joel Ferrier, the marketing director, said.

“Wednesday and Saturday nights can be filled with free outings for the entire family! We’re looking forward to seeing all of Bermuda come out and support their favourite team — from the Court Kings to the Hoopstars or Fly Girls to the Pink Panthers — it’s bound to be an awesome time at every game.”
