Arbitration course offered by Institute

An introduction to international arbitration is being offered by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ Bermuda branch.

Lawyer Kim White, who heads the CIArb Bermuda branch, explained that successful completion of the one day course will allow the candidate to join, as an associate, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

The course is designed to give an understanding of the general principles of international arbitration and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes. It’s also designed to give an introduction to the legal framework of international arbitration, as well as good practice and procedure.

At the end of the course, candidates should understand the background to international arbitration, the process and procedure of international arbitration, and international arbitration in the context of other forms of dispute resolution.

The course, for which there are no entry requirements, is meant for people who are new to the field of international arbitration, wish to learn more about international arbitration and its benefits to users, or who wish to become an Associate member of CIArb.

Today is the last day for registration for the course.
