Three organisations dedicated to helping the most vulnerable members of our community will share a $4,500 gift.

Summerhaven Residential Home for the Physically Challenged, Agape House and the Bermuda Red Cross will all receive donations from Marsh and Guy Carpenter.

“These donations are especially meaningful to Marsh and Guy Carpenter as the recipients were nominated by our employees,” said David Ezekiel, the Bermuda chairman of Marsh & McLennan Companies and chairman of Marsh’s Bermuda Charity Committee. “Giving back to our community is part of our mantra and all three organisations play a vital role in creating a better Bermuda.”

Summerhaven helps residents with disabilities to be part of the community rather than confined indoors, offering skills that enable them to attain independent living.

Agape House is Bermuda’s only in-patient hospice, offering specialist palliative care services, end-of-life care, symptom control, rehabilitation and outreach medical services to terminally ill patients, while the Bermuda Red Cross, founded in 1950, is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that provides health and social services to the community.

The donations are part of Marsh and Guy Carpenter’s charity work, which includes an annual Community Giving Day.

Marsh, a leader in insurance broking and risk management, and Guy Carpenter, a risk and reinsurance specialist, are wholly owned subsidiaries of Marsh & McLennan Companies, a global professional services firm offering advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy and human capital.
