BSX rises 4.71 points

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 4.71 points (0.34 per cent) last week, as shares in four companies increased in value, while two companies saw their share price fall.

The Index closed at 1,370.56.

Devonshire Industries saw the biggest improvement, with 1,000 shares traded. Its stock price rose $0.50 (12.5 per cent) to close at $4.50. There was also a jump for Somers Limited, which improved by $0.50 per cent (3.9 per cent) to finish the week at $13.75 after 900 shares were traded.

Shares of BF&M improved $0.25 (1.4 per cent) to close at $18.00 after 1,200 were exchanged, and Ascendant Group stock was up $0.05 (0.9 per cent) at $5.80, with 1,000 shares traded.

The two stocks that declined in value were KeyTech, down $0.05 (1.3 per cent) at $5.80 after 1,000 units were exchanged, and HSBC down $0.15 (1.50 per cent).
