Pair deny jewellery theft

Two Sandys men denied trespassing and theft when they appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Troy Harris, 24, and Marcus Robinson, 18, pleaded not guilty to trespassing and stealing jewellery from the residence of Cindy Foggo.

The offences are alleged to have occurred on Slip Point Lane, St George’s, on December 16.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set bail at $5,000 for each with a like surety.

Mr Tokunbo also set a curfew from 8pm to 7am and ordered the defendants be fitted with electronic monitoring devices.

A trial date was set for April 14.

• Also in Magistrates’ Court this morning, a Devonshire man denied stealing alcohol from Lindo’s Group of Companies.

Glen Patrick Richardson, 55, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft.

It is alleged that Mr Richardson stole a bottle of Dewar’s White Label scotch, valued at $35.20, from Lindo’s Market in Devonshire on November 10.

Bail was set at $1,000 and a trial date was set for February 17.

• A 40-year-old Sandys man denied trespassing and two counts of theft when he appeared in court this morning.

Leon Sinclair Fough pleaded not guilty to trespassing at Spice Hill Road, Warwick on December 12.

He also denied stealing goods worth $196 and $215 from two separate residences on the property.

Mr Tokunbo set bail at $2,000 and the case was adjourned to March 5.
