The US Coastguard C-130 arrived in Bermuda to help with the evacuation of a sick sailor from a passing US Navy ship.

A sick Naval serviceman is expected to be brought into Bermuda today for treatment.

The 44-year-old man is believed to be suffering from kidney problems.

Yesterday afternoon the US Coastguard’s C-130 aircraft and helicopter arrived at LF Wade International Airport.

The Coastguard crews were expected to leave Bermuda this morning to pick up the sick sailor and bring him back for treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
