Praise for ‘patient and pleasant’ postal staff

Dear Sir,

I don’t often go to the General Post Office to pick up a package expecting to enjoy the experience, especially on a rainy day in January to pick up a belated Christmas gift.

But things change. I waited in a very short queue and had the pleasure of being taken care of by Carol Daniels. She was patient and pleasant and retrieved my package.

I opened it up and sighed as I saw my relative had painstakingly gift-wrapped small items for my children, and I knew I’d have to unwrap them and ruin the surprise.

I began the chore and, as I handed each revealed gift to Ms Daniels, she lovingly rewrapped them.

It is simple, unasked kindnesses that demonstrate someone’s heart and Ms Daniels won me over entirely. Thank you for reminding me what Christmas is really about.
