Argus launches health and fitness programme

A new health and fitness programme has been launched by Bermuda insurance company Argus.

It has teamed up with Johns Hopkins Medicine International in a bid to cut the cost of healthcare by tackling preventable problems like obesity, which can lead to serious medical conditions.

The THRIVE programme offers a multi-pronged approach to help participating Argus clients to better understand and look after their personal health.

Argus will offer points towards prizes for clients that meet their health targets and the firm will also make donations to charities when participants complete long-term healthy habit goals.

Options for the voluntary scheme include tailored programmes where clients can work with a nurse advocate to improve their health and general well-being.

Argus CEO Alison Hill said: “Argus is focused on implementing changes that help to make our health system sustainable.
