Eve sent out on loan

Heading north: Eve

Dale Eve, the Stoke City goalkeeper, has joined Congleton Town, the North West Counties Premier Division side, on loan.

The 19-year-old, who was briefly on loan at non-League side Newcastle Town this season, has replaced fellow youth team goalkeeper Dominic Kurasik who has been recalled by Stoke.

Eve is in line to make his debut at home today against West Didsbury and Chorlton.

“Stoke have been fantastic, and I’m grateful they sorted us out with a keeper,” Mike McDonald, Congleton’s joint-manager, said.

Eve is likely to part of Bermuda’s World Cup qualifying squad for next month’s first-round tie against Bahamas.
