The Catlin Group engaged in a global initiative to participate in the Movember Foundation Challenge, which encouraged all Catlin men to give their razors a rest for the month of November with a view to raising awareness and funds for men’s health.

As a result, Catlin Bermuda’s “MoBros” did an excellent job in growing and styling their moustaches, raising $31,755, inclusive of company team matching.

Catlin Bermuda donated $10,000, split equally between the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and PALS Bermuda, with the remaining balance going towards the Movember Foundation’s cancer research and men’s health programmes.

The participants included Graham Pewter, Richard Slater, Derek Ratteray, Andrew Macfarlane, Mark Harwood, Jonathan Sutcliffe, Ian Turner, Simon Penney, Christophe Chandler, Chase Toogood, Joe Glover, Hinal Patel, Christopher Brough, Jamie Pedro, Matthew Watson, Alexander Green, Nick Nebard, Andrew Davis, Kurt Thomas, Tom Sperryn-Jones, Manny Odzakovic, Jean-Marc Colmet, Kristian Muldoon, Keishaun Augustus, Miles Brewer, Viren Saldanha, Jonathan Ball, Misha Novakovic, Chris Bennett and Ryan Murray.

Special recognition goes to Mr Slater, the international property treaty underwriter, who topped the fundraising board, with $4,736 collected.

“Our guys did a great job with their upper lip growths,” said Graham Pewter, the chief executive officer of Catlin Bermuda. “Some were spectacular and some plain scary! The funds raised were for a great cause and we are happy to support both our local and international charities.”
