Triple Challenge set to begin

The 2015 Triple Challenge is set to begin this evening, with athletes taking to the streets of St George’s.

The charity event, billed as Bermuda’s only obstacle challenge, has blossomed into a sports tourism event for the Island with athletes from the US travelling to the Island to compete.

The challenge is set to begin today with the Argus Urban Foot Race through the streets of St George’s at 7pm, ending with a community block party.

Competition resumes at 9.30am Saturday on South Shore, for the KRyS Global Island Challenge, and at the same time on Sunday for “an all-out assault on the Royal Naval Dockyard” with the ACE Group Royal Challenge, followed by a participants’ appreciation brunch.

Teams of two or four have to run, jump, crawl and climb their way to the finish, but can also supplement their physical prowess with fundraising power, as they compete for the $1,000 cash prize.
