Do something about parking!

Dear Sir,

Please add my voice to the chorus of complaints regarding the parking situation in the city of Hamilton. It is outrageous, to put it mildly.

I am closing in on 80 years of age and am unable to walk any long distances. This morning I arrived in Hamilton to attend a meeting to take place on Front Street. The number one car park was filled to overflowing. Not only was every space taken but there were no vouchers or Easy Park devices in sight.

To add insult to injury all of the “Disabled” bays were full and not one of the vehicles displayed a permit. Do not tell me to go to Bull’s Head. I am unable to walk the distance from that car park into town.

I keep hearing that the Corporation’s hands are tied. Surely someone can do something. Please, please, please.

I know the shops are suffering. How about the Chamber of Commerce stepping in to try and sort something out.

And to the mean spirited individuals who are taking advantage of this situation, I say shame on you.

OUTRAGED AND OLD
