A new website offering vacation rentals in Bermuda has been launched.

White Roof Bed and Breakfast aims to connect residents looking to rent out homes and apartments and tourists overseas.

The site harnesses the expertise of Island real estate firm JBM Realty & Associates and web designer George Botelho of Advanced Services.

Mr Botelho, whose firm will also handle marketing and social media for the site, said: “Hosts will have the ability to easily select the availability dates and pricing, enter a comprehensive description, add photos and be abled to manage their listings easily.

“Those seeking accommodation in Bermuda will be able to search for and book accommodation and even Bermuda excursions and other hospitality-related services from anywhere in the world, easily and securely.

Mr Botelho added: “A wide choice of properties with varied amenities and facilities will suit the budgets and requirements of any visitor.

“Properties listed are validated as appropriate, ensuring quality visitor accommodation choices.”

He said that hosts can benefit from easy-to-use features, while potential clients can quickly search the site and book properties.

Mr Botelho added: “Hosts can list as many properties as they wish, which will suit real estate agents or those with multiple properties with no charge to list properties and a minimal commission only paid when visitors book.”

He said: “JBM has been in the realty business for some years and a subset of their business is vacation properties for people who want to visit Bermuda.”

He added the firm had used overseas websites to publicise properties — but wanted to create a new site with a Bermuda focus.

And he said that hi-tech search engine optimisation, as well as targeted marketing and social media integration, guaranteed the best matches.

Southampton-based Mr Botelho added: “We designed and developed the website from scratch and built in features we felt would be useful for both homeowners and people looking for accommodation and people can book with credit cards from anywhere in the world.”
