Minors shines at Princeton

Minors claimed two first-place finishes at the Larry Ellis Invitational

Dage Minors placed 28th overall out of 98 competitors in the 800 metres at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University on Friday, before recording two first-place finishes the next day in a meet hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Representing Franklin Pierce University, the sophomore student recorded a time of 1min 51.90sec, which placed him as the top Division II finisher.

The time was also the fastest in the Northeast-10 this season and now ranks the Bermudian eighteenth in the nation. The time also met the NCAA Championship provisional qualifying standard in the 800.

Minors was in action the next day the MIT Sean Collier Invitational in Cambridge, Massachusetts, claiming two first-place finishes as his team recorded some outstanding performances with five top positions overall.

Minors was first in the 800 in a time of 1:56.95 and then later claimed first place in the 1,500 in 3:58.93.

He is ranked fourth in the Northeast-10.
