Students get down to business

On Thursday, April 16, CedarBridge Academy held its annual 100 Men and Women On Campus Day. Students had the opportunity to dress in business attire to showcase the phenomenal and ambitious men and women who attend CedarBridge Academy. Students were able to take advantage of positive role models who encouraged them to work towards success. Throughout the course of the day, students were involved in various workshops and presentations depending on what career field they were interested in.

Categories such as engineering, music production, graphic design, transport, tech, IT, banking, barbering, underwriting/insurance, nursing, marketing and even workshops for the undecided. One of my favourite quotes about gentlemen is “A gentleman is one who puts more into the world than he takes out.”

I find this quote very powerful to anyone who reads it. In my opinion it means you should try to leave the world a little better than the way you entered it. With that being said, as a S4 student I strive to motivate the younger students at CBA to take any form of opportunity, because you never know what you might receive out of it.

To change the world does not happen overnight, it’s a process that you have to work on every day. At the end of the day, there was also a fashion show for students to present their business attire. Prizes were also given to the best-dressed individuals. I can say that CedarBridge has outstanding students that Mrs Richards is very proud of.
