ClearTV names new revenue officer

A Bermuda-based TV firm has appointed a new chief revenue officer.

ClearTV, which is listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, has picked Mark Papia, who has worked in advertising for US TV channels ABC and Fox as well as Yahoo and MySpace to promote social media as a key platform for ClearTV.

Company CEO Henry Mauriss said: “As multi-media becomes more central to the ClearTV mission, we are choosing to turn revenue generation over to someone who has extensive experience on both the traditional and digital sides of the advertising ecosystem.

“Mark’s skill set is perfectly suited for ClearTV’s needs during this growth phase in our life cycle.”

ClearTV operates a US-based range of television networks installed in places like airports, hospitals and hotels and features entertainment, education and information.

It provides TV services to five US airports with a further three scheduled for launch in the next two months.

Mr Papia said: “The growing portfolio of ClearTV airport assets, coupled with the on- and off-line ad targeting that can be done around the travel experience, will create unrivalled multi-media advertising opportunities for brand manufacturers and awesome consumer experiences for our viewing audiences.”
