Certificates for vendor workshop attendees

Budding vendors: Junior Minister Sylvan Richards with the eight attendees who completed all three seminars in the Vendor Markets Seminar Series

Eight entrepreneurs who attended all three sessions of the Vendor Markets Seminar Series have been recognised for their commitment.

More than 150 people attended one or more of the seminars, which covered how to start up a vendor stall, how to merchandise and other aspects of vending and business planning.

The series, now in its second year, was run by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) to give vendors and would-be vendors exposure to skills, tips and requirements needed to pursue a business venture.

The BEDC supports four vendor market initiatives: the St George’s Olde Towne Market, The Rubber Tree Market in Warwick, The Hidden treasures Market in Somerset and the Uptown Market on Court Street.

The eight attendees who completed all three seminar workshop sessions this year were commended by Sylvan Richards, Junior Minister of Home Affairs.

“These eight have shown their commitment and dedication to sharpening their saws to make their established or ‘soon to come’ vending businesses the best it can be. Congratulations and well done on your achievements,” he said.

“I wish you the very best in your future vending ventures.”
