Corporate services programme for students

A company linked to a top Island law firm is to launch a new corporate services training programme for students.

Conyers Dill & Pearman-affiliated Codan Services will run the scheme, which gives graduates or those close to qualifying a head-start introduction to a career and allow them to take on further professional exams through the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

Codan has already held an information night attended by nearly 30 students.

Head of Codan, Justine Blakeney, said: “We have already heard from many of the students who have stated that the information event was an invaluable opportunity to meet people from Conyers and Codan and to hear about the corporate services profession.

“Embarking on a new career can be one of the most exciting times in a person’s life. The right role with a supportive, progressive employer can help people take the next critical step in shaping a successful and rewarding career.

“Hopefully, this event helped the students who attended gain insight into the professional career opportunities available to them within Conyers and specifically Codan and the corporate services profession.”

The course is available to recent graduates and those in line to complete a degree from a recognised university.
