Two swimmers have just been given an extra incentive to cross the English Channel with a sudden anonymous donation of £10,000 ($16,000).

Bermudians John Tomlinson and Jeff Conyers, along with two other team-mates, are preparing to swim in the frigid waters to raise money for four charities.

The relay team, named All In Your Mind, will begin their journey in Dover, on the southeast coast of England, and end up “somewhere in France”, depending on the conditions and route. The crossing is at least 20 miles long.

The generous donation came in at the weekend and will be split between the Adara Development, YouthNet, SCARS, and KatKids. The team is encouraging the public to donate now before they swim tomorrow.

Donations towards the cause can be made online at www.premierticketsglobal.com under All in your Mind Channel Crossing Donations.
