Dear Sir,

The Bermuda Police Service has a number of “non-performing” police officers who are on extended sick leave. Should they ever return, they would have to be retrained, as some of them have been absent for many years. Maybe the police commissioner could give us a breakdown of these time periods.

Is it possible that these absentee officers be placed on disability pensions, thus removing their numbers from the ranks?
