Dear Sir,

No matter how you explain it, whether you are referencing the past, or it being “the norm” in other countries, or even the paying of US taxes, Bermuda is not in a position to pay extras/bonuses to anyone.

The Government is not a private practice, and in fact, if there is additional monies (the people’s money), it should be distributed to the needy, not the greedy.

Here’s another unusual proposal we should consider: we have an enormous debt, albeit handed down by the Opposition, but instead of our money being used to pay bonuses, put it towards paying down on the debt.
