Dear Sir,

On behalf of the Southampton Seventh-day Adventist Church’s “Feed the Children Ministry”, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who assisted with our recent tag day held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

We also would like to say a special gratitude to the following, because without the use of their premises, the day would not have been another huge success. Zoe, the Corporation of Hamilton, HSBC Bank, Butterfield Bank, Clarien Bank, business owners and managers, The Market Place, Lindo’s Group (Warwick and Devonshire), Arnold’s Group of Stores, the Supermart, Phoenix Stores, Harrington Hundreds, LCCA, Bermuda Police Service Cadets, Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church, Hamilton Rotary Club, Hamilton Lions Club, Paget Lions Club, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Orchid Charity, Summerhaven residents, Susan DeCouto, Sunshine Senior Club, teachers, counsellors, students from CedarBridge Academy (Teen Girls in Focus, a girls club), the Berkeley Institute, Victor Scott, TN Tatem, Whitney Middle School, Sandys Middle School, Bermuda Institute and other individuals in the community who gave up an hour or two of their busy schedule.

The total raised was $6,945.25. These funds that are raised stay in Bermuda, as we continue to serve breakfasts and lunches for preschoolers and those at primary school level from Paget to Sandys parishes. In the 2014-15 school year, we were able to provide breakfasts and lunches for eight schools, 27 students totalling 6,880 meals.

We are overwhelmed with the support and prayers that have being shown to us over the past four years that we have had a tag day.

The Feed the Children Ministry co-ordinators would like to publicly salute our volunteers, who prepare and deliver these meals on a daily bases when school is in session.

Our prayer is that you will continue to give generously to this programme so we will be able to meet the demands when assistance is requested.

Once again, thank you, Bermuda.
