A yacht that went missing off the Azores six months ago has been found 635 miles south-southeast of Bermuda.

According to a spokesman for the Department of Marine and Ports Services, a passing tanker today informed Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) Bermuda of the derelict vessel’s location.

RCC Bermuda liaised with the United States Coast Guard and it was determined that the yacht Kolibri, which was registered in Norway, went missing in May.

A search and rescue mission was launched at that time and all on board the vessel were recovered.
