Ireland’s Keogh ran in the 1972 Olympics, in the 5,000m. He won the US national 5,000m championships the same year. Smith and Keogh will be speaking between 3-3.30pm.

Running legend Smith will also be available to sign autographs at the Hamilton Princess on Friday afternoon between 4-5pm.

Other speakers lined up for the seminars on Saturday include famed US track coach and former sprinter Brooks Johnson, who will talk on developing a proper training plan and biomechanics of running. He will be speaking from 4-5pm.

Another speaker is Hazel Clark, who will discuss handling anxiety. She is scheduled to speak between 3.30-4pm.

The seminar series begins with a talk on setting and maintaining goals, with national athletes and team coaches speaking from 2.30pm to 3pm.
