PLP leadership has baffled me

Marc Bean

Dear Sir,

Today I read the letter sent to you by Antony Siese ( Royal Gazette , January 26, 2015) and I totally agree with him.

I, too, have been very confused these past 14 years by the leadership of the Progressive Labour Party. The debt they left behind is staggering.

Diallo Rabain, Marc Bean, Zane DeSilva and other members of the present PLP leadership would have us believe that all of our present economic ills stem from the poor leadership of the existing government.

I can only speak for myself and my own family. In recent years, we have suffered great financial difficulties: loss of business, loss of income and so it goes on.

We, as a family, also did what we could to assist others who were suffering greater financial difficulties than our own. I dislike having to spell this out, but we did not differentiate between our white or black neighbours; we did what we could.

We love Bermuda and its people and would not want to live anywhere else. At this time, let us all think carefully and not be drawn into further debt, not only for our sakes but also on behalf of our children and our grandchildren.
