Fly Boys closed the gap at the top of the CellOne Island League on Saturday with a 68-63 win over Twisters.

Kieron Burgess scored 26 points for Fly Boys, who are now just half a game back having played one less than the league leaders.

Kevin Stephens put up 30 points for Twisters, and he and Burgess are locked in their own private tussle for the most valuable player award going into the final few weeks of the season.

In Saturday night’s other game at CedarBridge Academy, Court Kings managed a narrow 46-45 win over Hoopstars, who are routed to the bottom of the table alongside Sky Force.

Sky Force play Kings tonight at 7pm, with Thunder Cats and RimRockers taking to the floor at 8pm.
