Raising awareness of mental health issues

The Bermuda Mental Health Foundation is continuing with its Message in a Bottle Campaign aimed at depression awareness and suicide prevention.

The campaign requires companies and individuals to leave a USB message in a bottle after which it is passed on to someone else.

The USB contains 2 files — a document and a link the viewer can click on to watch a brief video. Once they have read and viewed the messages, it will take them to www.change.org/bmhf where they can electronically sign their name, signifying they have viewed the messages.

The campaign was launched on Monday, February 22, and will run through Friday, March 18.

The Foundation will reveal the results of the initiative via e-mail, social media and the media.

Those who participate will be listed on the Bermuda Mental Health Foundation site.
